Math Recovery® Specialist

The US Math Recovery Council® is excited to announce the publication of the most recent book in the bestselling Math Recovery® series, The Learning Framework in Number by Bob Wright and David Ellemor-Collins. The book is estimated to be available Spring 2018 and gives mathematics educators a complete research-based framework for assessment, instruction and intervention in whole number arithmetic across grades K to 5.

As part of the release of the most recent research this publication brings, the US Math Recovery Council® is pleased to offer a new course Math Recovery® Specialist, Part 1: Intervention and Specialization in Number Learning for the Primary Grades (MRSp1). This course is a revision of Math Recovery® Intervention Specialist and builds a high level of expertise and specialization in Math Recovery® theory, assessment, and pedagogy. The MRSp1 will be available beginning in August 2018. Registration for this class is currently open and located on the USMRC website at https://www.mathrecovery.org/events/1481.

We are also excited to offer an additional course Math Recovery® Specialist, Part 2: Intervention and Specialization in Number Learning for the Intermediate Grades (MRSp2). This course will be available August 2019. This course extends the learning from MRSp1 and continues to develop a high level of expertise and specialization. We anticipate registration to open alongside the 2019 Leadership Series announcement. MRSp1 and MRSp2 will complete the Math Recovery® Specialist learning experience to include assessment and pedagogical tools appropriate for grades K-5 intervention. These courses are available only through the US Math Recovery Council®.

Individuals with a Math Recovery® Intervention Specialist designation will have an opportunity to participate in updates to this most recent work. Watch for more information and update courses to be posted on the website.
